Praise for Bundles of Letters Including A, V, and Epsilon

“Valerie Fox and Arlene Ang are latter-day surrealists, playing wantonly with words, charming us out of and into the everyday. There’s no predicting where they will take off (Lake Como, the Joyce Kilmer Rest Stop on the New Jersey Turnpike) or where they will land (a wishbone, a rainbow hanging from a noose). Their poems buzz like inspired flies. Emily Dickinson would take delight in them.
                                             —Paula Cohen

“I read Bundles of Letters and did not feel as good since I dressed up as a priest and danced with Marie Antoinette and a bottle of beer at a Halloween ball in the 80’s. Vision, invention, refreshed language and truth are here in abundance.”
                                             —Leonard Gontarek

“loved the surreal. laughed many times on many pages. a great book for bustin’ outta writer’s block. some favorite lines: ‘The lettuce in my ham sandwich tasted of a pipe organ’s hundred years’ (14) and ‘I tried to catch jellyfish with bottled messages.’
                                             —paul siegell

*************

A collection of magical, surrealist experiments, where the suspension of language is the suspension of disbelief, and where multiple types of freedom can come into play. The poems take risks: with form, with language, and with ideas, which find themselves co-opted and then possibly inverted.

The poems in Bundles of Letters Including A, V, and Epsilon contain many correspondences. They explore. They send messages. They include research and real life. They hope, naturally, to entertain.
